Welcome

Care that feels like family, because it happens at home.

We are an in-home daycare in the McDonald Road neighborhood of East Knoxville. Children spend their day in a real house, in a small group, with the same familiar faces from drop-off to pick-up.

That smaller setting is the whole point. Fewer children means more lap time, more conversation, and a daily rhythm that bends to a child's nap, mood, and milestones instead of a factory schedule.

Programs by age

Every age, met where they are.

Children grow in stages, so the day looks different for each one. Here is how care is shaped from the first months through the early school years.

Infants

Roughly 6 weeks to 12 months

Feeding, naps, and changes that follow your baby's own schedule, with plenty of holding, tummy time, and quiet talking. We keep you posted on the small wins throughout the day.

Toddlers

Roughly 1 to 2 years

Busy hands and big feelings. Days mix free play, simple songs and books, outdoor time, and gentle first steps toward sharing, words, and self-feeding.

Preschool

Roughly 3 to 5 years

Letters, numbers, colors, and shapes woven into play, art, and stories, with the routines and listening skills that make the jump to kindergarten feel easy.

School-age

Before, after, and out-of-school days

A calm landing spot before and after school with time for homework, snacks, and unwinding, plus full-day care when school is out.

Why families choose us

The things that matter when you leave your child somewhere.

A small group

Fewer children means each one is genuinely known, watched, and held when they need it. Nobody gets lost in a crowd.

The same faces

Children settle when the person greeting them is the same one who knows their nap times, their words, and their favorite book.

A real home

A house, not a hallway of classrooms. Cozy corners, a kitchen, a yard, and the calm of a space that feels lived-in.

Open communication

You hear how the day went, the good and the hard, so you are never guessing about your child's hours away from you.

A day here

A gentle, predictable rhythm.

Young children feel safest when they know what comes next. The day flexes for naps and little ones, but it generally moves like this.

Times are a typical weekday and shift with each child's needs.

  1. 7:30

    Arrivals & soft start

Warm welcomes, breakfast for early risers, and quiet play while everyone trickles in.

  2. 9:00

    Morning play & learning

Circle time, songs, books, and hands-on activities matched to each age group.

  3. 10:30

    Outside & snack

Fresh air and movement in the yard, weather permitting, then a snack and a drink.

  4. 12:00

    Lunch

A sit-down meal together, with help for the littlest ones learning to feed themselves.

  5. 1:00

    Rest & quiet time

Naps for those who need them and calm activities for those who have outgrown them.

  6. 3:00

    Afternoon play

Snack, free play, art, and a welcome for school-age children coming off the bus.

  7. 5:00

    Pick-up

A quick word about the day at the door so you head home with the full picture.
